I knew I was going to love being at this wedding when I first met Kara and Derrick for their engagement session several weeks ago. They were so easy to work with and so much fun! We spent most of our time laughing.

When we arrived at the Barn Event of the Smokies last friday it was beginning to drizzle and it continued to rain the entire day. Luckily, this awesome venue has a covered wrap around porch, so we were still able to get natural photos away from the rain. Most brides would still upset about the rain, but Kara was such a trooper and didn’t let it change the mood of the day. I assured her we would still capture gorgeous images rain or shine….

Kara was an absolute delight to work with. She just cracked me up all day long with her crazy dance moves and her fun personality. She LOVED wearing her wedding dress!!!!

Derrick and the guys sported bow ties, vintage wool jackets, and stone washed jeans. These dapper gentleman topped off their look when they broke out their cigars and posed for a few shots.

The venue decor was simple and timeless. I adored the twine wrapped wine bottles filled with babies breaths and gorgeous pink bouquets created by Andrea at the Barn Event of the Smokies.
