Scott and Erica had their Smoky Mountain destination wedding at the Big Moose lodge cabins in Pigeon Forge, TN. I love the feeling of warm and cozy weddings! The Big Moose lodge has an amazing 15 bedrooms and all the wedding guests stayed at the lodge! About 50 of their family and friends came from all over the country to celebrate Scott and Erica. Several families arrived a few days before the wedding just to experience Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. Erica’s mom mentioned how everyone really worked together as a family for several days to not only prepare for the wedding but just to make meals throughout the week. It was the perfect setup for two families to become one.

This wedding day was fun and laid back! Erica’s two bridesmaids were her cousins and Scotts’s groomsmen were two of his lifelong friends. When the time came for the ceremony, we noticed the we had gained about 20+ more guests who were watching and taking pictures from the porch of a cabin adjacent to the lodge. As Erica made her entrance, she waved like a beautiful princess would to all her fans. Later, I learned the extra guests were going to e-mail Erica all the photos they took – very sweet!

During portrait time, we saw someone running around in a Halloween Skeleton costume. So naturally, the bride and groom had to have a photo taken with him! It was so hilarious! 🙂

What I love about Scott and Erica is the joy they shared in becoming husband and wife. They were both so excited about their day and so enjoyed having all of their family there with them. These two people are amazing and went out of their way to make everyone feel so included. Even with the little ones.

At their reception, they at dinner, played pool, cards, board games and also watched a little football! Scott and Erica- We so loved that you chose us for your destination wedding. Jonathan and I wish you both of you many, many happy years together and hope your honeymoon in Nevada is a blast!
