I met up with Shawn and Bert for their engagement session in Asheville, NC. They currently live in Washington D.C., but are planning to have their wedding in Asheville close to her parents house. I was so excited when Shawn mentioned that they wanted to make a trip Asheville to finalize wedding details and meet up with me for the engagement shoot. We started the session at Shawn’s parents house! You won’t believe these shots were taken in…YES their Backyard! I joked with her Mom about vacationing in their downstairs. IT IS SO GORGEOUS! They live on top of a mountain and have the most gorgeous views of the Smokies! After finishing shots at the house, we drove into Downtown Asheville for a few photos. Shawn loves art and wanted some graffiti in her shots. They are so cute and unique!

As you can tell by these photos, Bert is absolutely crazy in love with Shawn! It was adorable to watch him have such a great time with his lovely bride to be throughout the entire shoot! I absolutely adore Shawn. When we first met via Facetime, I couldn’t quite place it but she so reminded me of someone that I would love. Well, fast forward to when we finally met in person, I realized exactly who she reminded me of and why I instantly connected with her. She reminds me of one of my dearest friends who actually lives in D.C. as well, Ha! I think they need to meet! They would be great friends!
