Johnson City Wedding | Stephen And Halston

We have been looking forward to Stephen and Halston’s wedding for several months now and it was exactly how I thought it would be, SO JOYFUL and FUN! We love the Oakes family! The Oakes family got an extra daughter in Halston and it was such a joy to see them love on and adore her all day! Halston’s family also got a great guy in Stephen who is so sweet and kind and truly loves family and community. It just makes me so happy to see a union where everyone is as excited as the bride and groom about their big day!

The girls started out the day at Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City, TN. Their was SO much laughter and silliness and my heart was thrilled to spend time with this crew! The dresses the bridesmaids had on were truly the perfect color to fit the fun filled mood of the day! We then met up with all of the gentlemen at the VA for a few pre-ceremony portraits who all looked quite dashing in their suits. I can’t tell you how much I love this bridal party! They were a large group, but they all worked so fast and we had such a blast with them.

The whole day was absolutely perfect! Halston was stunning and could not stop smiling! Her beautiful lace dress and veil looked incredible with her fabulous bouquet of pink and cream flowers. All the colors she chose looked so bright and cheerful, yet were romantic and classy. The perfect way to describe the theme of their wedding. Stephen was handsome in his suit and he could not stop staring at his gorgeous bride! I had so many pictures to choose from. It was very easy to capture the sweet love between these two!

The ceremony was held at Hosanna Fellowship Church! It was such a Jesus filled ceremony! I loved the worship time and the bride and groom’s first kiss was magical when the bridal party threw glitter at the perfect moment. Great idea! Stephen and Halston have so surrounded themselves with a large community of people who love them and are for them! You could just feel the joy and support throughout the entire day! One of my favorite parts of the ceremony were a couple moments when I would see Halston turn around and give her Oakes Mom a smile! It was like, “Can you really believe this is happening!”. Yes, it is and it was perfect! The reception was just as beautiful as the ceremony. It was held at the Oakes’ venue, Oak Grove. This place has gorgeous mountain views, yet another reason why I love being a photographer in East, TN. It was also where the couple had their first dance to the song that played at their proposal as well. How sweet is that!? Of course what better way to end a celebration than with fire works!!
