What a great way to start of 2016! We spent the first Saturday of the new year celebrating with Carrie and Dusty! We so enjoyed getting to know Carrie and Dusty, their family and friends. The weather was perfect for photos and the venue they chose had so many beautifully lit places to shoot. Carrie and Dusty chose an urban venue called, The Standard in downtown Knoxville, TN. This venue is just spectacular and provides so much variety for couples. Carrie and Dusty are from Knoxville and they both went to the University of Tennessee. However, they didn’t meet until an internship in Atlanta, GA brought them together. I just love couples who are so in love that it shows… and these two were just so fun to be with and capture moments they will treasure forever. Also, I especially love grooms who are so mesmerized by their beautiful bride on a wedding day. Sometimes we like to get those serious shots with no smiles…But we could not get Dusty to stop smiling at Carrie during portraits and for good reason….Carrie looked absolutely breathtaking!

Jonathan and I arrived early to The Standard to determine great shoot locations. There were so many people preparing food, placing decorations, and setting up equipment. Many times the ones doing these preparations are vendors, but today they were all friends and family who worked so hard to pull off what was a perfect day. It was really special.

One of my highlights from the wedding was the sweet Grandmas as flower girls….I had never seen that in a ceremony before. Such a precious thing and a tearjerker!
