Chris And Lizzie’s Destination Wedding At Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort Wedding |

Lizzie and Chris’s love story began when they had to catch a flight to Orlando. Lizzie boarded first and was already chatting with the person in the middle seat when Chris was needing to get to the window seat on the same row. When Lizzie stood up to let him in, she accidentally hip-checked him (yah we all believe that Lizzie) and that jump started their conversation that lasted the entire flight to Orlando. I feel so sorry for the person in the middle seat. lol They got off the plane and didn’t even exchange numbers. WHAT?! Instead of exchanging numbers, they texted their families and close friends to say they had just met the person of their dreams….. That they will never see again! Lol! As fate would have it, they ran into each other at a trade show and later went on their first date in Orlando and have been together since.

Lizzie and Chris are both so genuine, kind hearted, and have such a deep love for family. It’s no wonder that they were attracted to each other. They both carry these traits and it was such a joy to be a part of their wedding season. They also love to travel, but they really love the Smoky Mountains and Dollywood. So, it just made sense they chose to have their destination wedding at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN. The week leading up to their wedding, we were a little concerned about the incoming rain, but it ended up being a perfect fall day! The day after the wedding, their family and friends spent the entire day at Dollywood. 🙂 What a perfect ending!

One of my favorite moments of their wedding day was when Lizzie’s brother, who was also their officiant, shared about the legacy of marriage on both sides of their families. I loved hearing about how long their parents and grandparents and great grandparents were married. They have a amazing heritage of love that was passed down to them.

Jonathan and I have this little traditional we do with our kids every day. We ask them what was the best and worst part of their day. It’s always super fun and surprising to see what they will say. Well, I will definitely say the best part of this wedding for us was being with Lizzie and Chris all day and the worst part was when the reception was over and we had to head home. We loved getting to know these two and formed an instant friendship. Why do you guys have to live so far away? Text us when you are back down and headed to Dollywood. 🙂
