Joni and Jeremy’s wedding was the last of our October weddings and we absolutely loved being with them on their big day! These sweethearts had their wedding at the lovely Carriage House in Jefferson City, TN. It was definitely a warm day! I couldn’t believe that it was almost 80 degrees at the end of October, but you can never really predict East Tennessee weather. Regardless of the temperature, what you can always rely on is the gorgeous foliage that drapes the foothills of the Smoky Mountains this time of year. It’s always the perfect backdrop! I just loved all the florals Joni chose for her autumn wedding, especially her fabulous bouquet that incorporated all the beautiful colors of fall and complemented her elegant dress so perfectly!

These two are such a chill and relaxed couple. They are so fun and adorable together and you can see their genuine love for each other coming through in all their photos. They were definitely a joy to shoot! One of my highlights was capturing so many fun photos of Joni’s canine baby, Paddington, throughout the day. He’s a little spoiled, but he loves his Mama! He’s such a cutie and I’m so glad Joni brought him along! I didn’t bring my yorkie, Mika, to my wedding and I’ve always regretted not getting any photos with her on my wedding day. So, when couples ask me about incorporating their fur babies, we are always quick to tell them to bring them along, even if it’s just for a few photos.

The other moment in the day that was just so incredibly moving was during the ceremony vows. I just love this portion of the day when couples share their hearts and commitment to one another. When Joni spoke, I loved how she not only made promises to Jeremy, but to his two daughters, Jasmine and Jaida. She promised that she would not try to take the place of their Mom, but that she will love them and care for them just as much and always be there for them whenever they might need her. One phrase that stood out to me was when she said, “She didn’t give them the gift of life, but life gave her the gift of them.” So powerful!

Their wedding day went off without a hitch and I can’t thank their wedding coordinator, Angie, enough for that. Another beautiful wedding with another one of our beautiful couples! We love these two and are so happy for them! Enjoy some of our favorites from their day!
