What a beautiful spring day for Siobhan and Stephen’s wedding! It was completely fitting that this precious couple would be married in “Vol Country” at Grace Lutheran Church and the reception was held at the lovely Gettysvue Golf and Country Club.

Their love story actually began while they were both members of the UT Knoxville band. Several years later, they would become engaged in their beloved city when Stephen put Siobhan on a clever scavenger hunt in Knoxville. Needless to say, this town definitely holds a very special place in their hearts.

We so enjoyed spending time with this sweet couple on their big day! Siobhan looked gorgeous in her beautiful lace dress and long flowing veil and her flowers were absolutely incredible!! The flower arrangements in all their pink, blush, and purple glory were stunning! From the wedding bouquet, to the gorgeous floral chandelier at the reception, LB Floral went above and beyond the mark! We also loved how Siobhan incorporated  her Persian and Irish heritage into her wedding day! I had so many wonderful highlights from this wedding day, but I absolutely loved Siobhan’s father daughter dance and all of the Persian music at the reception!

We were so excited to be a part of Rachel and Junior’s special day at Gettysvue Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee. Gettysvue is such a lovely place for a wedding, with its sweeping, rounded staircases, mountainous views, and lovely natural backdrop.

Rachel and Junior are both so amazing! They are sweet, kind, generous, and have such awesome hearts. They are very invested in their friends; in fact all of Rachel’s bridesmaids were girls she has known since she was in fifth grade! The friendships the bride obviously has with her bridesmaids and the groom with his groomsmen are awesome. But, who wouldn’t want to be friends with such amazing people? They are one of the most joyful and happy couples that we have ever had the privilege to work with.

Junior and Rachel decided to save their first look for the ceremony, so Rachel did her “first look” with her bridesmaids instead. It was so sweet to see their reaction and their tears of joy as they celebrated with their dear friend on one of the happiest days of her life. Although they didn’t see each other before the ceremony, Rachel and Junior did set aside a few minutes to pray together. It was so wonderful seeing Junior lead his bride in prayer!

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful; we even shed a few tears ourselves. Rachel was stunning in her elegant dress with lace details. Junior and his groomsmen looked great in their blue suits with ties that matched the bridesmaids’ beautiful light pink dresses. After the ceremony, every time they would pose for a new picture Junior would tell Rachel how much he loved her and how beautiful she was. They are so cute together! During the reception the bridesmaids surprised them with a special song/dance to Salt ‘N Pepa. The shock on Rachel’s face was priceless! Weddings are so much fun when there are so many loved ones around to celebrate with.

Rachel and Junior met in Kingsport, Tennessee, when a friend (one of her bridesmaids) insisted that she must meet her husband’s friend, Junior. She thought they would be perfect for each other. The friend had a get-together at her home; Junior walked right up to Rachel and began talking to her. They talked for hours, oblivious to the other people in the room, exchanged numbers, and the rest is history!

We have enjoyed getting to know Rachel and Junior this past year, we have so grown to love them! We are so very happy for them and their new life together. We are thankful that we got the opportunity to photograph their wedding and to get to know this amazing couple. Enjoy our favorites from their wedding day!

We were so happy to be a part of Jeremy and Leah’s big day! It is always exciting when we get to shoot at one of our favorite venues, the Carriage House in Jefferson City, with its elegant chandeliers and beautiful scenery. It is also a joy to work with an amazing team of wedding professionals!

Leah and Jeremy were such a relaxed, fun, couple. We could tell that they really love and honor their family, and after spending the day with them we adore their family, too! They are so awesome! We have so many special moments from this amazing day. Leah’s brother walked her down the aisle while she carried a gorgeous bouquet with a beautiful tribute to her father who has passed away. We loved that Leah made her father a part of her big day by attaching a lovely framed photo of them along with a precious note “Leah, I loved you first. Dad.”

They were surrounded by lots of lifelong friends and family as Leah’s pastor officiated the ceremony. Jeremy’s children were a part of the ceremony and his dad was a big part of the reception, he was such a great dancer and was so funny. So much fun and joy all around!

Leah was absolutely gorgeous, her hair was so lovely and her dress was absolutely exquisite with a sheer intricate lace design on the back. It was no wonder that Jeremy couldn’t seem to keep his adoring eyes off his gorgeous bride!

We truly appreciate Jeremy and Leah and who they are as a couple. We were blessed to be a part of their story and we wish them all the best as they begin this new journey together!

We were so excited to be a part of Jordan and Gaby’s big day! These two are very special to Jonathan and me as they are a part of our Heritage church family. They actually met during a church conference we have each year. Gaby, who is originally from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, was in town visiting some friends of ours and attending the conference. Shortly afterwards, she took an internship in East TN and she and Jordan continued to spend time together and of course fell in love!

We had such a fun day with these two! Their wedding was filled with so many personal touches. Jordan and Gaby have a heart to travel the world and I love that they used globes as their reception centerpieces. Gaby is also a Star Wars fan and Jordan is a Lord of the Rings fan. So they compromised and incorporated both into the wedding. There were touches of each in the decor and music, all tastefully done, and showing off both their personalities. Jordan made a fabulous video mimicking the famous Star Wars intro telling their epic story about how God brought them together and included pictures and video of their engagement on the beautiful sand dunes of Mexico. So sweet! There is so much love between this couple. Not only for each other, but for all the wonderful friends and family that celebrated with them on their wedding day. We love these two so much and are so happy for them as they embark on the biggest adventure of their lives as husband and wife. Congratulations, Jordan and Gaby! Philip and Brittany’s wedding was our first wedding of 2017. They were the most amazing couple to start off the new year! In January, you just never know what the weather will be like in East Tennessee, and we were so thrilled it was in the 50’s and not raining!! The day began by getting ready at the Marriott Hotel in Downtown Knoxville. We then moved over to the historic World’s Fair Park for the first look photos and wedding portraits. It’s always fun when we get to have the Sunsphere as one of our backdrops! I just loved Brittany’s dress from White Lace and Promises! She looked so beautiful and Philip couldn’t help but adore and admire his bride. These two have such a sweetness between them that made them so easy to photograph. When you are around them you feel like you’re just hanging out with some old friends. They are very much in love! One thing you can’t miss when you’re around Philip is that he never gives up.  This is very much a part of his character today and began long before I had the opportunity to meet him! There were many testaments over the weekend to this characteristic concerning a terrible car accident that took him on a long road of surgery and recovery, but again, he didn’t give up! He was thankfully still able to play baseball while at CNU, and this redirected his path to meeting Brittany, the love of his life! He’s obviously a fighter, and I can tell he will always fight for Brittany and their marriage.

The wedding ceremony and reception were held at The Foundry. I love how it has a cool, rustic elegance and went perfectly with all the pretty pops of turquoise Brittany and Philip used in their reception decor. The staff there were very kind and gracious. An amazing perk to the day was that my cute brother-in-law got to officiate the ceremony! This was the first wedding he had the privilege of doing, and I loved getting to be there to see him marry this beautiful couple! I couldn’t help but include a photo of he and my sister-in-law! The entire day was incredible from the amazing wedding party, to being able to capture all the memorable moments of this precious couple’s big day. It was definitely a wonderful way to start off the new year! Congratulations to Philip and Brittany! Enjoy my favorites from their big day!

Landon and Erin’s beautiful day was our final wedding for 2016 and they were the perfect couple to end an amazing year!

They are so incredibly sweet and I just loved being apart of their journey. Also, they were so understanding with the last minute second shooter change after Jonathan’s Dad was admitted to the hospital due to a critical illness. My friend, Heather Faulkner, second shot with me of which I’m so thankful! Having a community of talented photographers that support one another is amazing.

The entire day went so smoothly and that had to do with all of the amazing vendors and their incredibly talented wedding planner, Charity Honeycutt! It was a joy to work with Charity and I highly recommend her.

Landon and Erin had their winter wedding at The Standard in Knoxville Tennessee. What’s not to love about this venue! The Standard delivers the Bride and Groom a stunning variety of industrial and urban backdrops. This is especially perfect for those looking for a wedding venue in the winter months. It’s so versatile that all portraits can be taken indoors. We absolutely love this place!  Erin and Landon decided they wanted to brave the cold and ventured out in 40° degree weather to capture a few portraits.

The reception was fun and filled with both elegant design and rustic charm! The seating chart was displayed on a christmas tree built from pallet wood and adorned with patio style string lights – so cute! Their tables were decorated with classic gold plates, champaign style runners, and floating candles. Everyone had an incredible time on the dance floor with Special Notes at the helm.  Selfie Studio Photobooth provided non-stop entertainment by capturing tons of crazy photos.

Landon and Erin – I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be apart of your day and we wish you many, many years of happiness! Enjoy your first Married Christmas together!
