What a beautiful spring day for Siobhan and Stephen’s wedding! It was completely fitting that this precious couple would be married in “Vol Country” at Grace Lutheran Church and the reception was held at the lovely Gettysvue Golf and Country Club.

Their love story actually began while they were both members of the UT Knoxville band. Several years later, they would become engaged in their beloved city when Stephen put Siobhan on a clever scavenger hunt in Knoxville. Needless to say, this town definitely holds a very special place in their hearts.

We so enjoyed spending time with this sweet couple on their big day! Siobhan looked gorgeous in her beautiful lace dress and long flowing veil and her flowers were absolutely incredible!! The flower arrangements in all their pink, blush, and purple glory were stunning! From the wedding bouquet, to the gorgeous floral chandelier at the reception, LB Floral went above and beyond the mark! We also loved how Siobhan incorporated  her Persian and Irish heritage into her wedding day! I had so many wonderful highlights from this wedding day, but I absolutely loved Siobhan’s father daughter dance and all of the Persian music at the reception!

Danielle and Jonathan’s  wedding, at The Barn at Chestnut Springs, was absolutely beautiful…An expected rainy day turned into the most gorgeous of backdrops… I was constantly checking the radar on all 12 of my weather apps to find a break in the clouds. Somehow, the 90-100% prediction let up right when we needed it and stayed away the entire rest of the day!

The great thing about the Barn at Chesnut Springs is we could still create gorgeous images even if the photos had to be shot indoors!  That venue is so beautiful and we love working with Melanie and her team.

Danielle and Jonathan are so laid back…as long as they were married at the end of the day they didn’t really care what the weather did! They were fine to move the ceremony indoors and she was great to go out in the rain after the ceremony… I knew that it would be a happy and fun day either way! Not only did they get to have their ceremony outdoors, but we were able to do the bulk of their portraits outdoors and we even got a little bit of sun to peak out during our sunset portraits.

It’s couples like them that make us fall in love with what we do over and over again! We loved the excitement between the two of them all day! They have been together for almost 5 years and they are such a great match for one another. We had so many highlights from the wedding day. One of my favorites moment was seeing Danielle in her wedding dress! This girl is so gorgeous and has such a beautiful heart!  It was such a sweet moment of knowing that she was so ready to marry her dream guy! My funny highlight of the day was watching Jonathan be a total ham during garter time! He had a special dance leading up to it and even threw in an Nacho Libre pose! It was so funny and I know his silly humor will keep Danielle laughing for many years!

destination engagement session . I was on my way to meet the two love birds at the venue we picked out for their session, The Moon Shadow Lodge, when I missed the road and

accidentally kept driving up to the top of the mountain, when I had to try to turn around on the very

narrow mountain road – so scary!  Luckily I made it out alive and found Erica and Scott waiting for me

Erica and Scott are super cute and incredible couple to be around. They have a great sense

of humor,  which I totally loved capturing! One of my favorite stories this couple shared was about the engagement ring Scott gave Erica. The two of them go mining at the

North Carolina Mason Mine as a hobby, and they actually dug  out the Sapphire gem, and Scott had it placed  in a

band for her. How sweet and romantic is that?! I am so planning a trip to the Mine this fall.

Melissa chose to do a vintage style wedding theme.  One of her Grandmothers actually made ALL of the doilies that were used for the reception tables. The tables were so beautiful. I loved the teacups and pearl decor. Melissa wanted to have the ceremony at her Church, Heritage Fellowship, but wanted to have a formal dinner reception at another venue. She asked for suggestions on a location that can hold 200-300 guests in Jefferson City.  There are tons of wonderful venues in Knoxville and the Smokies that would have worked, but I didn’t know of any in this area that can hold that many people.  Then, a few weeks ago during one of our wedding planning meetings, I mentioned to Melissa that I had just met with a couple that are opening up a wedding venue in Jefferson City. This property is beautiful!!!  There are white picket fences, a gorgeous white barn with chandeliers in the inside. I love chandeliers! I was just blabbing away and said how sad I was that I didn’t know about this place earlier because it would have been perfect for her… Well, her response was, “I think I’m gonna book it!” WHAT!!! Yep, so she completely changed her reception venue with three weeks to go and I’ve gotta say I’m glad she did. The Carriage House is beautiful and spacious and worked perfectly for their wedding.
