Connor & Leanna’s Knoxville Wedding at The Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Wedding days are my favorite days! Leanna and Connor’s wedding day was filled with so many special and precious moments throughout the day. We were so thrilled to spend the day with them.

Both Leanna and Connor have large and I mean LARGE families! Leanna is one of 13 siblings and Connor is one of 7! WOW! I loved seeing their interactions with their siblings. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was Leanna choosing her brother to be her Man of Honor! It was incredibly cute and he did a great job taking care of her.

Leanna and Connor had their wedding ceremony at The Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. They finished building it in March and it was our first time photographing a wedding at this amazing venue. Honestly, we were left a little speechless. If you are ever in Knoxville, you must make time to visit this Church. It was like stepping into Cathedrals in Rome! It is absolutely, breathtakingly gorgeous and the Church staff are so incredibly friendly!

Leanna and Connor’s reception was held at a new venue in Maryville,TN called The Showroom at Five Points. It did not disappoint! I love the style and atmosphere of this venue! It’s rustic decor, open floor plan, brick walls, and chandeliers make for a perfect reception. My favorite moment of the reception was when Leanna and her brothers did a dance off! Leanna proceeded to lay on the floor and do the worm! In 10 years of photographing weddings, I’ve have never seen a bride lay on the floor for a dance move. It was awesome, hilarious, and showed how fun Leanna is! Apparently, dance offs are a tradition in the Walsh home.

Leanna and Connor are the sweetest couple and are we so thankful to have been a small part of their wedding journey! We wish you many years of happiness and love! Enjoy our favorites from your wedding day!

Andrew & Ariana’s Destination Wedding at The DreamMore Resort – Pigeon Forge, TN

Andrew and Ariana, along with their closest friends and family members, came together for their fall destination wedding in the Smoky Mountains! Jonathan and I adored this sweet couple so much and were so thankful to have been a part of their wedding day! We started the day at DollyWood’s DreamMore Resort and then traveled into Gatlinburg for their ceremony. Much to my great surprise…we hit very little traffic on the way to the ceremony! It’s always such a beautiful but busy time of year when the leaves are turning in the Smokies.

One of my favorite moments of the day was traveling in the limo with Ariana and all the girls. We had such a blast! They are all amazing story tellers and it was so much fun learning a little about their lives. Andrew and Ariana had their wedding ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in downtown Gatlinburg and their reception followed at the DreamMore Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN. The DreamMore is nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains and full of southern charm. It’s is always such a pleasure to work with the wedding team at the resort and we lucked out with the most amazing weather!

One of the things I love so much about this couple was how chill and laid back they were. They are our kind of people! They were just excited that their wedding day was finally here! Their joyfulness made the day even sweeter than it already was!

Chris and Lizzie’s Destination Wedding at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort Wedding

Lizzie and Chris’s love story began when they had to catch a flight to Orlando. Lizzie boarded first and was already chatting with the person in the middle seat when Chris was needing to get to the window seat on the same row. When Lizzie stood up to let him in, she accidentally hip-checked him (yah we all believe that Lizzie) and that jump started their conversation that lasted the entire flight to Orlando. I feel so sorry for the person in the middle seat. lol They got off the plane and didn’t even exchange numbers. WHAT?! Instead of exchanging numbers, they texted their families and close friends to say they had just met the person of their dreams….. That they will never see again! Lol! As fate would have it, they ran into each other at a trade show and later went on their first date in Orlando and have been together since.

Lizzie and Chris are both so genuine, kind hearted, and have such a deep love for family. It’s no wonder that they were attracted to each other. They both carry these traits and it was such a joy to be a part of their wedding season. They also love to travel, but they really love the Smoky Mountains and Dollywood. So, it just made sense they chose to have their destination wedding at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort in Pigeon Forge, TN. The week leading up to their wedding, we were a little concerned about the incoming rain, but it ended up being a perfect fall day! The day after the wedding, their family and friends spent the entire day at Dollywood. What a perfect ending!

One of my favorite moments of their wedding day was when Lizzie’s brother, who was also their officiant, shared about the legacy of marriage on both sides of their families. I loved hearing about how long their parents and grandparents and great grandparents were married. They have a amazing heritage of love that was passed down to them.

Jonathan and I have this little traditional we do with our kids every day. We ask them what was the best and worst part of their day. It’s always super fun and surprising to see what they will say. Well, I will definitely say the best part of this wedding for us was being with Lizzie and Chris all day and the worst part was when the reception was over and we had to head home. We loved getting to know these two and formed an instant friendship. Why do you guys have to live so far away? Text us when you are back down and headed to Dollywood.

General Morgan Inn Wedding | Cory & Rachael

Rachael and Cory got married at the General Morgan Inn Hotel in Greenville, TN. It was our first time photographing at this gorgeous hotel in Greenville. Jonathan and I just fell in love with its historic charm and the downtown area. There are so many amazing locations and little nooks to make a photographer’s heart so happy. We knew a few days leading up to the wedding day that we would need to be flexible with the timeline because of the crazy storms that were headed our way. Even with all of the rain that we had to dodge throughout the day, Rachel and Cory were so incredibly relaxed. In some of the photos, it is actually still raining, but you can’t even tell because they were just so amazing!

Cory and Rachael’s sweet story began when they were just middle schoolers. They had crushes on each other for several years before they actually became a couple! How adorable is that? They dated for a few years, but then grew apart after Rachael moved to Florida. In 2016, they reconnected and became inseparable after that. Rachael always dreamed of marrying Cory since they were in Middle school and she finally got to! So so sweet! At the end of the reception, Rachael and Cory asked if we could slip out to capture a few night time portraits at the Capitol Theatre close to the hotel. It was a special location for them because that’s where their high school prom was held!

We were so excited to celebrate with Heather and Brent on their wedding day! These two are so sweet and such a great fit for one another! They are both so in love and it was such a joy to watch them together! Heather and Brent were married at the lovely Gettysvue Country Club in Knoxville, TN. Everything was just beautiful! I loved all the soft pinks, creams, and greens Heather chose for the wedding day. Everyone looked so great! The florals and decor were all so sweet and romantic, just like this couple.

Brent and Heather’s first look was so precious! Brent just laid his head on her shoulders and they just hugged for a couple of minutes. You could tell they were both treasuring this beautiful and significant moment in their lives. They had a wonderful ceremony and the reception was just so much fun! Jonathan and I enjoyed our time with Heather and Brent and wish nothing but the best for them as they begin their new life together as husband and wife. What a beautiful spring day for Siobhan and Stephen’s wedding! It was completely fitting that this precious couple would be married in “Vol Country” at Grace Lutheran Church and the reception was held at the lovely Gettysvue Golf and Country Club.

Their love story actually began while they were both members of the UT Knoxville band. Several years later, they would become engaged in their beloved city when Stephen put Siobhan on a clever scavenger hunt in Knoxville. Needless to say, this town definitely holds a very special place in their hearts.

We so enjoyed spending time with this sweet couple on their big day! Siobhan looked gorgeous in her beautiful lace dress and long flowing veil and her flowers were absolutely incredible!! The flower arrangements in all their pink, blush, and purple glory were stunning! From the wedding bouquet, to the gorgeous floral chandelier at the reception, LB Floral went above and beyond the mark! We also loved how Siobhan incorporated her Persian and Irish heritage into her wedding day! I had so many wonderful highlights from this wedding day, but I absolutely loved Siobhan’s father daughter dance and all of the Persian music at the reception!

Crescent Bend Wedding – Knoxville TN- Jeff & Chrissie

We were so excited to celebrate with Jeff and Chrissie as they married at the Historic Crescent Bend House & Gardens in Knoxville, Tennessee. The stately historic home, the gorgeous floral gardens, and the beautiful fountains were a perfect venue for their destination wedding. Jeff and Chrissie are best friends who love each other deeply. After 12 years of being together, they decided on a small, intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. They were so relaxed and happy throughout their entire wedding day! It was easy to see that they had a deep appreciation and love for their family and friends. We are so happy for this beautiful couple, and we hope they have many more years of happiness. Spout Springs Estate Winery & Vineyard | Colton and Jana

I can’t say enough about this sweet couple I am sharing with you all on the blog today! It is no wonder that God led these two amazing people to each other! Jana has the most infectious smile and personality! I just love her joyful spirit and I’m pretty sure we would be besties if we had more time to hang out. Colton has such a kind heart and being from Alaska he has this confident Alaskan Mountain man thing going for him on top of a great sense of humor. It was their love for serving the Lord and others though that really brought them together while working at a Christian summer camp in Alaska. Colton’s Best Man shared during his speech how he and Colton had made a pact to be “bachelors forever,” and then Jana came into the picture and he was like “forget that!” So hilarious! Colton is from Alaska and Jana is from Tennessee so they had to endure the long distance relationship thing, which Jonathan and I know all about. It is not easy, but their love for each other and their faith in God brought them through those months until Colton moved to East Tennessee.

So here we are at the gorgeous Spout Springs Estate Vineyard celebrating the marriage of these two special people! This winery and vineyard is so beautiful with it’s rolling hills and mountain backdrop. Jana looked stunning in her lovely lace, off-the-shoulder dress and Colton looked quite handsome as well. Their first look was amazing! After seeing each other, they sat down under a tree and prayed and spoke their vows to one another. Such a sweet and special moment between the two of them and God. I loved the bridesmaids floral dresses accompanied with the pretty pops of red, pinks, and greens in the flower arrangements. I also loved that Jana’s mother was her Maid of Honor. What a wonderful way to honor her as both her mother and her best friend.

Jana and Colton’s ceremony was held in front of beautiful rustic wood cross with crisp white linen draped across it. Their love for Christ was so represented throughout the entire day! The reception was also decorated in a rustic, romantic style. Everything was just perfect!

We had so much fun celebrating with them at the reception! I had no idea Jana loved to dance so much! Her fun personality really kicked in when she played the theme song to Titanic and Colton was no where to be found. On the spot, she choreographed a dance to “My Heart Will Go On” and then Colton like the hero he is, joined in a did a spontaneous dance with her! He’s a good sport! I’m not sure that I know many guys that would have done that!

Congratulations Jana and Colton!! We are so happy for you two and pray many blessings for you both as you start this new journey together as husband and wife!
