I’ve been photographing Tripp since he was nine months old. This cutie pie is such an easy going child. He is so much fun to shoot and I always have to remind myself that Tripp likes to do “serious” faces. It’s SO adorable and this kid can totally pull if off! We had such a great time at his session. I love this age because they are really specific about what they want to wear and incorporate into the shoot. We started off the session with Tripp’s superhero toys. I think those shots will definitely be his favorites!!! My son, Gabriel, is 4.5 years old and is really starting to get into superheros. I thought it was so funny that both he and Tripp think Captain America isn’t as “cool” as the other heroes because he doesn’t have powers. Lol! We wrapped up his session with Tripp’s formal outfit and this cutie put on his favorite sweater. I think he looked pretty handsome! Tripp is also very interested in the presidential election and it was easy to keep him engaged as long as we were talking about the debates and who his favorites and least favorites were. Haha! We’ll just leave it at that! I know one thing, if this boy runs for president, he’s got my vote! Love his sweet heart!

I adore this sweet family! We have done so many sessions over the years and it is always a joy when I get to see them! At this particular session, we did a combined family/maternity/Abigail’s 5 year photos in just one session. It was so much fun! These little girls are pros at posing for the camera. We also got some pretty adorable sibling shots! We waited SO long to do this maternity session because Megan was so tiny! Can you believe she was almost 39 weeks pregnant in these photos! Crazy! Ella’s One Year Session | Dara’s Garden

I can’t believe Ella is already one years old…. This little girl is so loved by her parents and her awesome grandparents who always come to her sessions. For her first birthday, her Grandfather built her a Cinderella carriage and inscribed her name, “Ella” on it. We knew we wanted to use it, but needed a perfect setting for it. We chose the beautiful Dara’s Garden in Knoxville with the dreamy white house and enchanting garden. I absolutely love this venue and everyone who works there is so accommodating. Her carriage looked absolutely perfect with this backdrop! Her parents even had a special princess outfit for that portion of the session. My most favorite detail of Ella’s session was her Dad as her Prince Charming. Every little girl needs her Dad to be her prince!

Ella is so full of life and is a huge fan of music. At her nine month session, her favorite song was, “Uptown Funk” and we basically played it the entire time. At this session she needed to hear, “Watch me( Nae Nae).” We let her dance to it the entire time and it was so much fun to watch her! I have loved watching her grow up this past year! Amber and Brandon, thanks for bringing your sweetie to me. I love her little self! Enjoy some of my favorites from her session.

I adore these two little kids! They are super funny and active! And they are SO excited about starting kindergarten and preschool! I have to say my friend, Melanie, she is so organized and on top of things when it comes to making sure to document every milestone moment! I’m just a little behind with my kids… For those who feel behind, it’s not too late! I still haven’t done Katelyn’s 2 year or Gabriel’s 4 year pics, haha! We started this session at the studio and finished up at an adorable barn! I just love the color coordinations Melanie had picked out for the family photos! Plus, I really enjoyed my time with the kiddos!! Enjoy a few of my top favorite’s from their photo session!

My friend brought her daughter in for a quick mini session at the studio! Kayla is such a good sport and did an amazing job in front of the camera. I just LOVED her colorful outfit, and how well it truly represented her spunky personality! And Kayla has the prettiest greenish eyes and a gorgeous smile! Such the perfect combo for any photo session!

Moss Family | Farm| Jefferson City Family Photographer

My sister in law Kara and her husband Casey recently purchased a gorgeous piece of land in Jefferson City. It just so happen to have an awesome barn on it! So of course we HAD to do their annual session there! I always have the best time at their family sessions but their daughters Victoria and Ellie really stole the show this time around! Leading up the session, they spent several weeks practicing their poses and very specific smiles. We had a princess smile, a pretty smile, a soft smile, and even a no smile… haha! With every pose they would ask which smile they were suppose to do. It was SO much fun!! I just love this family! Oh, if you think Casey and Kara look familiar, like you have seen them in a magazine, it’s because you have! They modeled for our Paris Styled shoot that is featured in the Fall edition of the Pink Bride magazine. Woohoo!

Casey had one request for this shoot. He really wanted to do the “Farmer Pitchfork” pose. So, we did and I kinda did a little artsy edit to make it look like the original. It’s a little different, but so funny! And I’m sure this will be his favorite. lol!

Mclemore Family| Jefferson City Maternity Photographer

I am super excited about this post! The Mclemore family have been really close friends of ours for several years! Lindsey was the very first friend I made after moving to Jefferson City and I am so thankful for many years together and fun memories! Jonathan and I have LOVED walking this journey of parenthood with Lindsey and Brent! And their oldest daughter Felicity is the sweetest thing ever, I just know she is going to be the greatest big sister to Tessa! We had so much fun with this session, even with my sprained ankle. Felicity was all smiles and loved snuggling her Mom’s belly! Just a couple more weeks Lindsey, and Tessa will be here before you know it! I hope you guys enjoy some of my favs!!!
